By the end of 2002, there have been near 86,000 industrial enterprises, 4056 of which are scaled industries conducting business accounting independently. Among them the number of the state or state-control enterprises (state enterprises), collective enterprises, joint-stock enterprises, affiliated enterprises, stock enterprises, foreign-HK-Macao-Taiwan invested ventures and other enterprises, are 160 (50), 370, 213, 23, 1863, 926 and 611 respectively. The state or state-control enterprises are mainly from such industries as power, petrochemical industry, transportation, post and public facility. While other enterprises are mainly from many competitive fields. The pattern integrated the ordered competitiveness, expedition, and symbiosis, thus greatly boosted the sustainable optimization of the city industrial structure and the improvement of the industrial product competitive capacity. In 2002, the industrial production value of the state and state control enterprises was RMB43.97 billion Yuan, increased by 10.4%, and accounting for 21.9% of that of the citywide scaled industries (the state enterprises accounting for 5.3%); the collective enterprises, RMB8.43 billion Yuan, increased by 8.5%, accounting for 4.2%; the joint-stock enterprises, RMB8.49 billion Yuan, increased by 15.7%, accounting for 4.2%; the affiliated enterprises, RMB1.1 billion Yuan, increased by 3.4%, accounting for 0.5%; stock enterprises, RMB111.34 billion Yuan, increased by 20.1%, accounting for 55.5%; foreign-HK-Macao-Taiwan invested ventures, RMB51.11 billion Yuan, increased by 17.3%, accounting for 25.5%; enterprises of other economic components,RMB 9.53 billion Yuan, increased by 20.5%, accounting for 4.8%. Among the mentioned economic components, 17 enterprise are directly under the Zhejiang province, which created RMB31.21 billion Yuan production value, accounting for 15.6%; those under the Ningbo, RMB18.65 billion Yuan, accounting for 9.3%; those under counties, county-level cities and urban districts, RMB181.93 billion Yuan, accounting for 90.7%; the 2873 village industries, RMB94.85 billion Yuan, accounting for 47.3%; and 134 large and medium enterprises, RMB65.99 billion Yuan, accounting for 32.9%.
