1. Organize the drafting and amending of the secure-production rules and regulations and safety technical standard about the non- colliery mines (quarries). 2. Supervise and inspect the implementation of the national secure-production laws and regulations and the implementation of the secure-production policies and duty-system in the non- colliery mines (quarries) and mineral industries. 3. Supervise and inspect the secure-production conditions, equipments and facilities, significant peril source monitoring, and the treatment of the possible significant accidents, in the industries mentioned above. 4. Instruct, coordinate and supervise the secure-production work of such industries as architecture, city planning, post, telecommunication, military industry, foodstuff, supply and marketing, etc. 5. Take charge of the pre-evaluation of the new construction, reconstruction, expansion and technical-innovation items (projects) and the security-facility "" examination and check-and-accept process for the industries mentioned above. 6. Organize the investigation, treatment, statistics and end-case censor of the casualty accidents for work of the industries mentioned above. 7. Participate in organizing and implementing the secure-production qualification training of enterprise operators, security managing personnel, and the special-type operation personnel in the non- colliery mines (quarries) and mineral industries, and also supervise and inspect the position-with-credential (³ÖÖ¤ÉϸÚ)situation of the personnel mentioned. 8. Organize and supervise the vocational safety new techgonology popularization and business communication in the non- colliery industries. 9. Organize, supervise and coordinate the accident rescue and contingency succor of the mine industries. 10. Undertake other items commissioned by the MEC.
